Analyze your current time allocation and rebalance your schedule. Commit to 3 actions to optimize your time.

Implementation

  1. Have your Chief of Staff set up a quarterly meeting to do Time Rebalancing

  2. Create two tables, 1 for professional time & 1 for personal time

  3. Identify typical activities in your work life, i.e. meetings, strategy, investors

  4. Identify typical activities in your personal life, i.e. sleep, gym, family

  5. For each activity, quantify your current time spent in hours per week

  6. For each activity, identify your desired time spent in hours per week

  7. Make a plan to reduce time spent in an undesired activity, i.e. meetings

  8. Make a plan to increase time spent in an undesired activity, i.e. strategy

Hint: reference your Zone of Genius to figure out where to maximize your time and look to your Zone of Incompetence to decide where to minimize your time.
